Can't stop... won't stop painting!

 

I have always had an artistic streak since discovering my talent at school, but after leaving school I somehow fell into the oil and gas industry, as well as becoming a mother, and so my art has laid dormant… until now!

 

The aim of my paintings is to give a visual impact by capturing a portrait in a unique way that does not melt into its surroundings, and hopefully elicits a response along the lines of ‘WOW’.

 

I am fascinated by people, colours and graffiti, which I believe is reflected in the way I paint.  I concentrate and zoom in on just the face, deconstruct the subject and then reconstruct it using vibrant and contrasting oil paint and just a palette knife.
